Terre Haute, Ind. - Backed by a pair of firsts, DePauw finished fifth at the Rose-Hulman Twilight Invitational. The Tigers totaled 77 points, while Rose-Hulman won with 157 and Greenville was second with 111.5.
Claudia Monnett won the 3,000-meter run in 10:28.04 and led a domination of the event as five Tigers scored. Haley Thompson was third (10:41.49), while Becca Conley was fourth (10:52.89) followed by Lois Miller in fifth (10:53.96) and Riley Hickman in eighth (11:15.95).
Natalie Gruszka collected the other win after leading the 800 meter field in 2:20.76.
Amanda Weber turned in a second-place performance in the 200 meters (26.90) and was fourth in the 100 meters (13.35) with Kaitlyn Daanen placing third in the 100 (13.22). Emily Wilson was the Tigers' other second-place finisher in the high jump (1.55m/5-5).
Tori Flowers was fifth in the 1,500 meters (5:05.38) with Gabby Coffing placing eighth (5:15.92). Also finishing eighth was Hannah Adams in the javelin (23.56m/77-3).
DePauw's 4x400 relay was second in 4:10.40.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, April 29, when they travel to Oxford, Ohio, to compete in Miami University's RedHawk Invitational.
