DePauw Places Fourth at Indiana Division III Championships; Three Tigers Collect Wins

Greencastle, Ind. - Led by three firsts including a school record, DePauw totaled 107 points and finished fourth among nine schools at the Indiana Division III Championships. Rose-Hulman won with 211.5 followed by Wabash with 179 and Trine with 107.

Jordan Booker won the 400-meter dash in a school and meet record time of 48.48 seconds. The previous school record was 48.52 seconds and held by Robert Fribley in 1935. Booker was also fifth in the high jump (1.74m/5-8.5).

The Tigers' other winners were Zach Batt in the 5,000 meters (16:09.83) and Paul Christian in the 10,000 meters (33:07.14).

Batt also was third in the 1,500 meters (4:10.21), while Cole Martin was fifth in the event (4:13.71) and Chris Lowry seventh (4:14.97). Martin turned in a fifth in the 5,000 meters (16:26.17).

Tyler Nemeth placed third in the pole vault (4.25m/13-11.25), while Dante Stewart was fourth in in the 200 meters (23.47) and sixth in the 400 meters (49.43). Nate Baker was fourth in the hammer throw (50.39m/165-4) and eighth in the discus (39.84m/130-8).

The Tigers' Chase Wright was fourth in the 100 meters (10.92), while Cameron Stewart was sixth in the 110-meter hurdles (15.99). Finishing seventh were Nick Meszaros in the 10,000 meters (35:08.45), Kyle Munz in the steeplechase (10:29.32) and Andrew Saunders in the hammer (45.05m/147-10).  Alex Rossebo was eighth in the 800 meters (2:03.55).

DePauw's 4x100 relay was fourth (43.93) and the 4x400 relay was third (3:21.58).

The Tigers return to action on Friday, April 21, when it competes in the Rose-Hulman Twilight meet.
