Booker's 400 win and School-Record Relay Highlight Tigers' Fifth-Place NCAC Finish

Oberlin, Ohio - DePauw wrapped up competition at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships with 71 points and a fifth-place finish. The 71 points were the Tigers' most since beginning NCAC competition in 2011-12. Ohio Wesleyan won the title and Wabash was runner-up.

Today's highlight was Jordan Booker's win in the 400 meters as he crossed in 50.27 seconds. Dante Stewart was fifth in the event in 50.99 seconds.

Additionally, the 4x400 relay of Booker, Dante Stewart, Alex Rossebo and Johnny Miller broke the school record with a third-place finish of 3:25.18. That topped the converted mark of 3:25.24 set in 1969.

Nate Baker also earned all-NCAC honors in the shot put with a third-place showing (13.75m/45-1.5).

The Tigers' 4x200 relay of Chase Wright, Luke Patty, Stewart and Johnny Miller garnered all-conference honors with a third-place finish in 1:32.54.

DePauw totaled nine points in the mile as Zach Batt was fourth (4:23.31) and Cole Martin fifth (4:24.44).

Picking up sixths were Booker in the 200 meters (23.10) and Paul Christian in the 3,000 meters (8:59.51). Wright was an eighth-place finisher in the 60 meters (7.21).

The Tigers open the outdoor season on Saturday, March 18, at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird.
