Tigers Finish Fifth at DePauw Indoor Invitational

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw totaled 57 points and finished fifth among 13 schools at the DePauw Indoor Invitational. Rose-Hulman won with 142.50 followed by Wabash with 101.5.

Andrew Saunders turned in DePauw's best finish after placing second in the weight throw (15.00m/49-2.5). Nate Baker was fifth in the event (14.61m/47-11.25), while also placing sixth in the shot put (13.43m/44-00.75).

The Tigers picked up 12 points in the 3,000-meter run led by Zach Batt in fourth (8:58.98), Paul Christian in fifth (9:00.28) and Cole Martin in sixth (9:01.87). Nick Meszaros posted a third-place showing in the 5,000 meters (16:38.35) with Nathaniel Reed right behind in fourth (16:54.59).

Jordan Booker was third in the 600 meters (1:24.84), while Alex Rossebo placed seventh (1:29.08).

Placing eighth were Chase Wright in the 60 meters (7.36), Spencer Golde in the 1,000 meters (2:50.15) and Tyler Nemeth in the pole vault (3.65m/11-11.75).

DePauw's 4x400 relay was fourth in 3:37.08, while the 4x200 was seventh in 1:40.27.

The Tigers host the DePauw Classic on Saturday, February 18, at 11 a.m.
