Newlon's 400 IM Title Leads Tigers on Third Day of NCAC Championships

Granville, Ohio - Angela Newlon's win in the 400-yard individual medley highlighted DePauw's third day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. With one day remaining, the Tigers are in third place with 782 points. Denison leads with 1,433 points and Kenyon is second with 1,213. Wooster is in fourth with 660.5.

Newlon turned in a "B" cut time of 4:26.27 to capture her first NCAC title in the event after placing second twice and third once. 

The 200 medley relay Annie Graves, Mary Woods, Newlon and Allison Lund opened the night with a third-place showing in 1:47.91.

A pair of Tigers competed in the 100 breaststroke championship final as Woods placed seventh in 1:07.66 and Jamie Fritsch was ninth in 1:09.44.

Graves tuned in a six-place performance in the 100 backstroke in 58.94.
