DePauw Competes in Pentathlon; New 100 IM Record Established

Crawfordsville, Ind. - Adam Pircon led DePauw with a seventh-place finish at the Penathlon hosted by Wabash College and established a school record along the way.

Pircon finished with an aggregate time of 4:34.08 from the five events including a fifth-place showing in the 100-yard individual medley in which he broke the school record in 54.23. Mitchell Davis held the mark of 54.79 seconds. The Tigers' Alex Murlin finished seventh in the event and also with a time faster than the previous school mark.

Kurt Swieter was 14th for the Tigers in 4:40.17, while Murlin was 16th in 4:42.35.

Jonathan Stoller of IUPUI had the top aggregate time of 4:26.73.

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, December 15, in a 7 p.m. dual meet at Indianapolis.
