Tigers Finish Second at Phoenix

Chicago, Ill. - Led by six top-four individual finishes, DePauw totaled 383 points and finished second at the Phoenix Fall Classic. Host University of Chicago won with 1,171 points.

Mary Woods totaled 47 points in three events as she placed third in both the 200-yard individual medley (2:10.75) and the 100 breaststroke (1:07.23) as well as a fourth in the 100 butterfly (58.45).

Ali Tallen followed with 40 points including a fourth-place showing in the 200 butterfly (2:11.05), sixth in the 100 backstroke (59.60) and seventh in the 100 fly (59.05).

Rachel Graves finished with 38 points after touching third in the 1,650 free (18:01.68), fourth in the 500 free (5:12.43) and 10th in the 200 free (1:57.60).

Olivia Neff also posted multiple top-eight finishes including seventh in the 200 free (1:58.10) and eighth in the 100 free (53.38).

Other top-eight performances came from Katherine Douglas in 1-meter diving (349.80 points), Allison Lund in the 50 free (24.97) and Riley Steffey in the 1,650 free (18:42.25).

Three of the Tigers' five relays finished third including the 200 free (Allison Lund, Neff, Maggie Wagenbrenner, Woods/1:37.09), 800 free (Graves, Neff, Wagenbrenner, Tallen/7:54/59) and 400 free (Graves, Woods, Tallen, Neff/3:36.47).

DePauw returns to action on December 2 in a pentathlon meet at Wabash with Butler and IUPUI.
