Monnett Claims 10K Title; Palmer and Gutish also Earn All-NCAC

Granville, Ohio - Paced by three all-conference performances, DePauw totaled 25 points and is in fifth after the first of two days of the North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Ohio Wesleyan leads with 67, while Denison is second with 48.

Claudia Monnett paced the Tigers with their only championship of the opening day as she won the 10,000 meters in 38:45.88. DePauw picked up 14 points in the pole vault as Dilan Palmer was second at 3.36 meters (11-00.25) and Rachel Gutish third at 34.26 meters (10-8.25).

Hannah Adams was the Tigers' other scorer as she was eighth in the javelin at 30.84 meters (101-2).

Maggie Royalty finished seventh in the prelims of the 100 meters in 13.16 and qualified for tomorrow's finals.
