Dozier and Henry Take Top Two Discus Spots and Earn All-NCAC

Granville, Ohio - Led by a pair of all-conference performances, DePauw totaled 26 points on the first day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships and is in fifth place. Wabash leads with 80 points and Ohio Wesleyan is second with 77.

Marcus Dozier won his second straight NCAC discus title as he topped the field with a best throw of 49.62 meters (162-9). Demarco Henry joined him in earning all-conference honors in the event as he placed second in 45.63 meters (149-8).

A pair of Tigers scored in the 10,000 meters led by Paul Watts in fourth in 32:11.60 and Paul Christian in sixth in 32:24.85.

Chase Wright earned spots in the finals of two events after placing seventh in the 100 meter prelim (11.13) and eighth in the 200 meters (22.81). Johhny Miller was fifth in the 400 meters prelims in 50.79, while Brian Mincks was seventh in the 800 meters (1:57.25).

The second and final day of competition gets underway Saturday morning.
