Dozier Collects Second All-America Honor

Waverly, Iowa - For the second time in his career, DePauw's Marcus Dozier (South Bend, Ind./Riley) has earned all-America honors at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Dozier's toss of 52.74 meters (173-0.5) was good for fourth place in today's first day of competition at Wartburg College.

Dozier advanced to the finals after placing eighth in the prelims with a best throw of 50.14 meters. In the finals he opened with a toss of 52.39 meters before his best mark of the day.

Max Leonard of Illinois Wesleyan won with a best throw of 53.55 meters, while Theron Baumann of Wisconsin-Whitewater was second (53.41) and Cameron Yon of PSU-Harrisburg third (53.19).

In 2014, Dozier finished sixth in the discus with a throw of 52.35 meters.

Dozier competes in the shot put tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. CDT.
