Greencastle, Ind. – The DePauw men's basketball team let an 11-point second half lead slip as Allegheny defeated the Tigers 59-54 Friday night.

DePauw held their largest lead of the game at 51-40 with 8:46 remaining in the game. Yet, the Gators closed the game on a 19-3 run in a span that saw the Tigers commit three turnovers, shoot just 1-of-11 from the floor and 1-of-8 from beyond the arc. DePauw's final score came off a 3-pointer by Bradley Fey with 4:21 remaining as DePauw led 54-48.

Luke Lattner scored 17 points to lead the Tigers. He also had a team-high four assists and three rebounds.

Conor Macomber led Allegheny with 20 points, including nine of the team's final 13 points. Brandon Smith added 13 points.

DePauw shot 36 percent from the floor (19-of-53), 32 percent from 3-point range (10-of-31) and 50 percent from the charity stripe (6-of-12). On the other end, Allegheny shot 45 percent (24-of-53), 21 percent from beyond the arc (4-of-19) and 78 percent from the free throw line (7-of-9).

Allegheny outrebounded the Tigers 39-25 and outscored the Tigers in the paint 28-16. DePauw scored 16 points off of the Gators' 16 turnovers, while Allegheny scored just seven off of the Tigers' 10 turnovers.

DePauw held a 29-25 lead at halftime. There were seven lead changes and four ties.

David Vogel scored nine points, and Jack VandeMerkt added eight points. Fey finished with six points.

DePauw drops to 7-13 overall and 3-10 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. Allegheny is now 3-17 overall and 3-10 in the NCAC.

The Tigers get right back at it Saturday with a 1 p.m. tip against Hiram.
