Greencastle, Ind. - Kaitlyn Daanen broke the school mark in the 200 meters and finished second in the 60 and led DePauw to an eighth-place finish at the DePauw Indoor Track and Field Invitational on the Hollensteiner Track in the Indoor Tennis and Track Center.
Daanen won the 200 in 26.59 seconds which broke the school mark of 26.67 set previously by Chenae White in 2009. Daanen also was second in the 60 meters in 8.05 seconds.
Dilan Palmer posted a second-place showing in the pole vault at 3.25 meters (10-8) with Katie Manalo finishing fifth in the shot put at 11.01 meters (36-1.5).
Odessa Fernandes was sixth in the 600 meters in 1:55.49 with Hallie Bechetel finishing seventh in the 400 (1:06.68) and Ellie Sheffield doing the same in the 60 hurdles (10.22).
The Tigers' distance medley relay was fourth in 15:04.01, while the 4x400 relay placed sixth in 4:37.69.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, February 20, when they host the DePauw Classic.
