Greencastle, Ind. - Paced by a pair of individual firsts, DePauw totaled 65 points and finished fourth among 13 teams at the DePauw Indoor Invitational on the Hollensteiner Track in the Indoor Tennis and Track Center. Rose-Hulman won with 150 followed by Wabash with 130.5 and Rhodes with 66.
For the second straight week Marcus Dozier and Paul Christian turned in first-place finishes. Dozier won the shot put at 16.10 meters (52-10), while Christian crossed first in the 3,000 meters in 8:50.15.
The Tigers picked up 16 points in the 5,000 meters as Polo Burguete was second in 15:16.82 followed by Paul Watts in fourth in 15:52.16 and Nathaniel Reed in sixth in 16:42.07.
Robbie Sheehan was fourth in the 1,000 in 2:50.29 with Robbie Dolph placing seventh in 3:09.20.
Landrum Neer was sixth in the 800 meters in 2:04.23. Rounding out DePauw's individual scorers with seventh-place finishes were Brian Myers (600 meters, 1:39.38), Johnny Miller (long jump, 5.97m/19-7) and Nate Baker (weight throw, 13.58m/44-6.75).
DePauw's men distance medley relay was second in 11:05.12, while the 4x400 relay placed fourth in 3:38.14.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, February 20, when they host the DePauw Classic.
