#16 Tigers Split with Albion and Washington

Greencastle, Ind. - The 16th-ranked Tigers are 1-2 on the season after taking a 169-112 win over Albion and dropping a 199-93 decision to seventh-ranked Washington-St. Louis.

Angela Newlon led DePauw with a pool record and NCAA "B" time in the 400-yard individual medley while winning in 4:33.28. Newlon also won the 200 butterfly (2:08.72).

Mary Woods collected DePauw's other first as she won the 200 breaststroke (2:30.24), while Shelby Whitt was second in the 1,650 free (18:38.63). Also placing second was Elaine Davis in one-meter diving with 216.30 points.

The Tigers' 200 medley relay of Annie Graves, Woods, Newlon and Olivia Neff was second in 1:51.19 as was the 400 free relay of Kirsten Olson, Ellen Riehle, Allison Lund and Woods in 3:43.68.

DePauw returns to action November 18-20 at the Phoenix Fall Classic hosted by University of Chicago
