Tigers Close NCAC Regular Season with 7-3 Win

Delaware, Ohio - The DePauw field hockey team ended its North Coast Athletic Conference regular season on a high note with a 7-3 win over Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday.

It was DePauw's 10th consecutive victory as they move to 16-3 overall and finish 13-1 in NCAC play. They finish 9-0 in the month of October, and they head to the NCAC Tournament semifinals to host Wittenberg at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Paige Berliner led DePauw's attack with three goals, scoring her first to end the first half and her second and third in back-to-back goals in the second half. Berliner continues to lead the team with 19 goals now on the season.

Ohio Wesleyan struck first at 11:40, but DePauw answered with three straight goals to go up 3-1 at the half. Riley Miller scored off a rebound at 16:48, and Kate Milner scored at 23:51. Berliner took the assist on Milner's goal before scoring herself at 25:24.

In the second half, Rose Revolinski kicked off the scoring, and Alexa Steil closed the scoring. Addie Bal collected two assists in the half.

DePauw outshot the Battling Bishops 32-11 and took the corner advantage 9-6. Sarah Foye made four saves to collect the win.
