Tigers Take Sole Ownership of NCAC Regular Season Title

Box Score

DePauw got done what needed to be done Wednesday with a 3-1 win over Earlham, giving them the outright possession of the North Coast Athletic Conference regular season title.

With it, their record moves to 15-3 overall and 12-1 in the NCAC, and the Tigers will have home field advantage throughout the NCAC tournament if they further advance.

Freshman Kate Milner took center stage Wednesday with two goals and one assist – all of which came during DePauw's 3-0 first half. She assisted on Reilly Bruce's opening goal at 2:36 before scoring shortly after at 4:14. At 18:45, Paige Berliner fed her an assist as Milner scored on a one-on-one with the goalie.

Earlham (6-12, 3-10) cut the deficit at 46:52 in the second half with a goal from Kaitlyn Brunner but was unable to create many more offensive opportunities. The Tigers outshot the Quakers 22-9 and went 7-4 on the penalty corner line.

Sarah Foye improved to 11-1 with two saves.

The Tigers wrap up the regular season Saturday at Ohio Wesleyan.
