Box Score For the second straight game, the DePauw women's soccer team was on the wrong end of a 2-0 outcome, this time in a loss to Denison on Saturday.
DePauw's scoreless draught is now at five halves as they were unable to score from the 10 shots they took. Denison took nine shots and connected twice in the first half.
Denison's first goal came via a penalty kick after a foul was called during the flight of a corner kick. Drew Wentzel went right on her kick and scored at 28:41. About 15 minutes later (43:11) Maggie Armstrong scored to close the half as Denison took a 2-0 lead and neither team could score in the second.
Riley Riordan made five saves to take the loss. The Tigers drops to 8-6-1 overall and 4-3 in the NCAC. Denison stays unbeaten in the NCAC at 5-0-1. They are 8-3-4 overall.
The Tigers have one game remaining in the regular season when they host Allegheny next Saturday.
