Box Score Hiram, Ohio - A bad start foreshadowed the rest of the game between DePauw and Hiram on Monday as the Tigers lost 91-60 to drop to 6-6 on the season and 2-3 in the North Coast Athletic Conference.
Pressured right out of the gate, the Tigers fell in a 14-2 hole five minutes in where they committed six turnovers and took just two shots in that span.
Lattner scored the team's first seven points and eight of their first 10. He finished with 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting.
Hiram (10-2, 3-1) built a 20-9 lead in just six minutes and led 51-31 at halftime. Cris Burrough led the Tigers with a career-high 13 points off the bench and was 3-of-3 from 3-point range. David Vogel scored 10 and Adam Botts added eight points.
DePauw shot 37 percent (22-of-60) from the floor and 40 percent (8-of-20) from beyond the arc. Hiram shot 54 percent (38-of-70) and made 46 percent (11-of-24) of their 3-pointers.
Hiram out-rebounded the Tigers 45-28 and scored 28 points off the Tigers' 17 turnovers. Hiram also scored 17 second chance points to DePauw's five and won the battle in the paint 46-24.
There were zero lead changes and Hiram's largest lead hit 32 late in the second half.
The Tigers will look to get back on track Saturday when they travel to Kenyon.
