Terre Haute, Ind. - DePauw sprinter Kaitlyn Daanen's first collegiate meet was a big success as she posted a pair of firsts to lead the Tigers to a fourth-place showing at Rose-Hulman's Friday Night Invitational.
The Tigers totaled 38 points, while Franklin won with 164 followed by Rose-Hulman with 162 and Hanover with 118.
Daanen won the 60-meter dash in 8.21 seconds and followed it up with a first in the 200 meters in 27.47 seconds. Cami Etgen was second in the 200 meters after crossing in 27.66 seconds.
Dilan Palmer placed fourth in the pole vault in her first college meet with a best effort of 2.93 meters (9-7.25), while Nicole De Fries was also fourth in the shot put with a top mark of 7.64 meters (25-00.75).
DePauw returns to action on Friday, February 5, when it host the Tiger Small College Invitational at 5 p.m.
