Greencastle, Ind. -- Backed by four goals from sophomore Reilly Bruce, the DePauw field hockey team defeated Oberlin 7-0 on Sunday in a North Coast Athletic Conference matchup.

Bruce matched her season total and now leads the team with eight goals. She scored the first three goals in the game, including one in the opening minutes off an assist from Grace Goodbarn.

The Tigers then scored three goals in a span of 3:24. Bruce found the back of the net at 18:27 and 19:35, and Corina Bourantas scored her first of two goals in the game at 21:51. The Tigers led 4-0 at halftime.

Bruce scored her fourth goal minutes into the second half (39:08) off an assist from Paige Berliner. Berliner had three assists in the game, all coming off the final three goals.

Natalie Abbott scored her first goal of the season at the 41:42 mark, and Bourantas scored her second goal of the game at 66:32. Rose Revolinski was also credited with an assist on Bourantas's goal.

DePauw dominated possession throughout the game. They outshot the Yeowomen 30-5.

Goalkeeper Sarah Guendert recorded the win after serving in net in the first half. Sarah Foye took over in the second. Both girls recorded one save each.

Maggie Gossiaux took the loss for Oberlin. DePauw kept her busy, as she recorded 17 saves.

DePauw moves to 4-2 overall and 3-0 in the NCAC, while Oberlin drops to 0-6 and 0-3 in the NCAC.

The Tigers are back in action Sept. 26 when they travel to Denison for another conference game.
