Box Score Olivet, Mich. - A goal from a penalty kick by Adrian Ables ended up being the game winner for the Tigers as they defeated Olivet 2-1 on Friday.
The win kept the Tigers undefeated at 4-0 and kept Olivet winless at 0-5.
Ables' goal came in the winding minutes of the game at the 85:58 mark. His goal, along with E.J. Moore's goal at the 41:31 mark in the first half, was enough to secure the victory.
Moore started off the scoring with a direct kick from about 20 yards out. The Tigers went into the half ahead 1-0, but Olivet's Evan Shambaugh tied it at the 61:02 mark.
Harrison Glover recorded his first start in net on the young season and recorded the win. He made three saves.
Olivet's Ryan Grashik moved to 0-5 in his starts at net and recorded 12 saves.
DePauw recorded 23 shots to Olivet's nine and held the corner advantage at 13-3.
Six yellow cards were given in the game. DePauw accounted for two (Julian Gonzalez (17:37) and Alieu Musa (60:53)).
The Tigers return to action Saturday when they travel to Kalamazoo.
