Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw freshman pitcher Emma Baldwin took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and allowed Denison just two singles as the Tigers topped the Big Red, 6-0, in the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament championship game.

DePauw improved to 30-13 with its second straight NCAC tournament tile and earned the program's seventh trip to the NCAA Division III postseason. The Division III bracket will be announced on NCAA.com at 10 a.m. on Monday. Denison finished its season at 22-19.

The Tigers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second when Alli Dennie homered to left and they tacked on four more in the third as Jennifer Ridge led off with a walk and stole second. Sammi Bell reached base via a passed ball on a third strike and Ridge scored when the Denison catcher's throw hit Bell in the back. 

Elizabeth Getz followed with a single to right before Linsey Button drove in Bell with a base hit and moved to second on the throw. Lauren Godden's grounder plated Getz and Dennie drove home Button with a single up the middle to make it 5-0.

Denison's first two batters in the fifth reached, but Baldwin retired the next three to end the threat. The Big Red collected their first hit in the sixth as Sarah Herold singled. A couple of walks followed, but Baldwin struck out the final two batters to end the inning.

Button and Dennie each had two of DePauw's six hits, while Rooney and Herold each had one for the Big Red.

Baldwin improved to 12-4 and struck out nine, while Herold, who pitched two shutouts earlier in the day, dropped to 5-1.

Baldwin was named the tournament MVP after pitching 12 scoreless innings and striking out 16. The complete team is listed below.
