Delaware, Ohio - DePauw's Marcus Dozier and Noah Gatwood claimed individual titles, while Aaron Krabill and Paul Watts also earned all-conference honors with runner-up performances in the opening day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
The Tigers totaled 38 points and are third behind Wabash (88) and Ohio Wesleyan (57).
Dozier entered the meet with the third-best discus throw in Division III and won the title with a best mark of 50.69 meters (166-4).
DePauw picked up 18 points in the 10,000 meters as Gatwood won in 32:20.16 and Watts crossed just .6 seconds behind him.
Aaron Krabill turned in a second-place showing in the pole vault at 4.45 meters (14-7.25).
Also scoring for the Tigers was Amen Galley with a seventh-place finish in the long jump at 6.71 meters (22-00.25).
Josh Ebikwo qualified for Saturday's finals in both the 100- and 200-meter dash as he posted the third-fastest 100 time (11.11 seconds) and sixth in the 200 (22.47). Brian Mincks qualified for the 800-meter finals with today's seventh-fastest time (1:57.32), while Cameron Stewart was seventh in the 110 hurdle prelims (15.40) and George Macy was eighth in the 400 hurdle prelims (57.30).
