Greencastle, Ind. - Led by Rachel Gutish's win in the pole vault, DePauw totaled 56 points and finished seventh at the North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships. Ohio Wesleyan won with 193.5 points, while Oberlin was second with 125. The Tigers were just two points out of fifth place.
Gutish claimed the pole vault title at 3.22 meters (10-6.75) after finishing in a tie, but being perfect on her first three vaults.
Celia Kauth turned in a second-place performance in the high jump at 1.58 meters (5-2.25) to earn all-NCAC honors.
Heather O'Brien and Maggie Royalty each scored in two events as O'Brien was fourth in the 3,000 meters in 10:37.96 and fifth in the mile in 5:15.00 and Royalty was fifth in the 60 meters in 8.01 seconds and 6th in the 200 in 26.72.
Turning in sixth-place finishes were Claudia Monnett in the 3,000 in 10:37.96 and Amanda Weber in the long jump, at 5.08 meters (16-8).
Odessa Fernandes was seventh in the 400 meters in 1:04.04 and Emma MacAnally placed eighth in the mile in 5:21.04.
The Tigers' 4 x 200 relay of Jazzkia Jones, Weber, Cami Etgen and Royalty was fifth in 1:47.91 and the 4 x 400 relay of Jones, Weber, Fernandes and Etgen was eighth in 4:20.87.
