Greencastle, Ind. - Paced by one all-conference finish, DePauw totaled 18 points on the opening day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships and is in sixth place. Wabash leads with 87.83, while Ohio Wesleyan is second with 73.83.
Paul Watt earned all-NCAC honors in the 5,000-meter run after finishing third in 15:02.24. Ryan Grizzard finished fourth in the triple jump at 13.31 meters (43-8) and Aaron Krabill was sixth in the pole vault at 4.42 meters (14-6).
The Tigers' distance medley relay crossed in fifth place in 10:39.80.
In the prelims, Josh Ebikwo posted the second-fastest time in the 60 meters in 7.03 seconds which also broke his own school record. Ebikwo also qualified seventh in 200 meters in 22.99 seconds.
Brian Mincks and Chris Lowry both earned spots in the 800-meter finals as Mincks was fourth in 1:59.36 and Lowry eighth in 2:01.11
