Atlanta, Ga. - Led by Heather O'Brien's win in the 5,000 meters, DePauw totaled 17 points and finished 17th among the 27 schools at the Emory Invitational. Jacksonville State won with 100.5 points and Cedarville was second with 96.
O'Brien crossed first in the 5,000 meters in 18:14.57, while Celia Kauth was tied for second in the high jump at 1.62 meters.
Some members of the team competed at Rose-Hulman where the Tigers finished fifth among seven schools. Rachel Higson won the 800 meters in 2:31.24, while Stefanie Pavlick crossed first in the 5,000 meters in 20:40.67. Katie Manalo was runner-up in the shot put at 10.88 meters (35-8.5). DePauw returns to action on Saturday, April 4, when it hosts the DePauw Invitational.
