Shenandoah, Texas - Paced by a record-setting, fifth-place finish by the 800-yard freestyle relay, DePauw moved into 11th place with 95 points after three days of the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. Kenyon leads with 348 points, while Denison is second with 260.
Casey Hooker, Alex Grissom, Kurt Swieter and Stephen McMurtry touched in 6:37.54 which was over two seconds better than the previous school record and good for all-America honors.
Hooker earned honorable mention all-America accolades in the 200 butterfly after finishing in 1:49.92 in the finals. He swam a 1:49.91 in the prelims.
In the prelims, Mitchell Davis was 31st in the 100 breaststroke in 58.37 seconds.
Saturday's final day of competition includes Hooker, Alex Alfonso and Blake Lehmann in the 100 free as well as the 400 free relay.
