Greencastle, Ind. - Paced by three firsts, the Tigers totaled 122 points and finished second at the DePauw Classic on the Hollensteiner Track. Bellarmine won with 181 points.
Heather O'Brien captured a first in the 3,000-meter run after crossing in 10:43.36, while Celia Kauth won the high jump with a best mark of 1.59 meters (5-2.5).
O'Brien also turned in a third-place showing in the mile run in 5:16.15, while Mary Jane Oviatt was second in the high jump at 1.49 meters (4-10.5) and third in the triple jump (9.79m/32-1.5).
Anastasia Athas collected a pair of seconds in the long jump (4.85m/15-11) and in the triple jump (9.98m/32-9). Other third-place finishers included Amanda Nunley in the 600 meters (2:00.90) and Rachel Gutish in the pole vault (3.28m/10-9).
The Tigers' 4 x 200 relay won in 1:50.62, while the 4 xx 400 relay was second in 4:26.39.
DePauw returns to action on Saturday, February 28, at the Fred Wilt Invitational hosted by Anderson University.
