Granville, Ohio - DePauw totaled 360 points on the opening day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships and is in third place among the nine schools.
Denison leads with 663 points with Kenyon in second with 500.5 and Wabash in fourth with 300.5.
The Tigers' 200-yard freestyle relay of Brandon Sholtis, Casey Hooker, Alex Alfonso and Blake Lehmann earned all-NCAC honors by finishing third in 1:22.11.
Alex Grissom finished eighth in the 500 free in 4:40.30 after posting a 4:37.78 in the prelims. Kurt Swieter was right behind in 4:41.18 after a 4:38.09 in the prelims. Stephen McMurtry was 10th in 4:40.53 with Jordan Bantista finishing 14th in 4:46.71.
Hooker was 14th in the 200 individual medley in 1:54.59, while Alfonso was 14th in 1:54.67.
Lehmann touched ninth in the 50 free in 20.76 with Sholtis finishing 12th in 20.96 and Cam Johnson in 13th in 21.30.
Eric Addy finished eighth in the three-meter diving board as he totaled 366.35 points.
DePauw's 400 medley relay of Chris Ercoli, Sam McManus, Lehmann and Alfonso was fourth in 3:24.73.
Friday's prelims get underway at 10 a.m. with finals slated for 6:30 p.m.
