Tigers Win Woehnker Invitational

Crawfordsville, Ind. - DePauw totaled 970.5 points and easily won the Patrick Woehnker Invitational, hosted by Wabash College. Wabash was second with 675.5 and Hope third with 360.

Blake Lehmann picked up three individual firsts as he won the 50-yard freestyle (21.14), the 100 butterfly (49.76) and the 100 free (45.34). His 100 fly win set a meet and pool record, while his performance in the 100 free notched an NCAA "B" cut.

Kurt Swieter won the 200 free in 1:44.43, while Eli Anderson touched first in the 100 backstroke in 53.25 as did Adam Pircon in the 200 back (1:59.69).

The Tigers claimed four relay wins as the 200 free relay of Brandon Sholtis, Alex Grissom, Swieter and Lehmann won in 1:25.40 and the 200 medley relay of Anderson, Sam McManus, Lehmann and Sholtis did the same in 1:35.23.

The 800 free relay of Swieter, David Freund, Pircon and Grissom won in 7:07.03 and the 400 free relay of Swieter, McManus, Grissom and Lehmann took first in 3:10.91.

DePauw returns to action December 3-5 at Kenyon's Total Performance Invitational.
