Chicago, Ill. - The 18th-ranked Tigers closed out the dual meet portion of their schedule with a split in a double-dual at University of Chicago. DePauw defeated Trinity (Texas) 182-112 and dropped a 197-103 decision to 12th-ranked Chicago to finish with a 4-4 record.
Angela Newlon was a triple winner for the Tigers in the 200-yard freestyle (1:55.26), 500 free (5:06.92) and the 400 individual medley (4:39.90). Kirsten Olson collected DePauw's other win in the 200 backstroke in 2:11.08.
Emily Weber was runner-up in the 1000 free (10:45.99) and 500 free (5:12.50) as was Dana Zerbini in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.15).
Finishing third were Annie Graves in the 100 back (1:01.62), 200 back (2:13.94) and 400 individual medley (4:49.34), Olson in the 200 free (1:58.21) and Dana Zerbini in the 200 breast (2:34.47).
DePauw's 400 free relay of Caroline Bridges, Weber, Olson and Erin Horne was second in 3:37.31, while the 200 medley relay was disqualified.
DePauw returns to action February 11-14 at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships at Denison University.
