Chicago, Ill. - DePauw wrapped up the dual meet portion of its schedule with a split of its double-dual at University of Chicago. The 20th-ranked Tigers defeated Trinity (Tex.) 176-103, but lost to 15th-ranked Chicago 192.5-105.5 to finish with a 3-6 record.
Blake Lehmann picked up a pair of firsts with wins in the 100-yard backstroke (52.44) and the 100 butterfly (51.24). Alex Grissom collected the other individual win in the 500 freestyle (4:47.64).
Grissom was second in the 200 free (1:43.87) as was Casey Hooker in the 200 fly (1:59.78).
Collecting third-place finishes were Alex Alfonso in the 50 free (21.63) and the 100 free (47.38), Jordan Bantista in the 1000 free (10:16.60), Kurt Swieter (200 free, 1:44.54), Sam McManus (100 breaststroke, 1:00.50), Hooker (100 fly, 52:56) and Kyle Winters (200 individual medley, 2:03.09).
The Tigers' 400 free relay of Lehmann, Alfonso, Grissom and Hooker won in 3:06.04 and the 200 medley relay of Lehmann, Mitchell Davis, Hooker and Alfonso was second in 1:34.43.
DePauw returns to action February 11-14 at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships at Denison University.
