Box Score Greencastle, Ind.- The 16th-ranked Tigers won their third straight North Coast Athletic Conference contest Sunday afternoon, defeating The College of Wooster by a final score of 5-0.
DePauw improved to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in NCAC play, while the Fighting Scots dropped to 4-4 on the year and 2-2 in the NCAC.
Paige Henry opened up the scoring for the Tigers when she rattled the cage in the fourth minute on an assist from Maddy Burds. Henry would provide an assist in the 23rd minute when she found Maggie Campbell for the second goal of the game.
Leading 2-0 after one half, the Tigers maintained the offensive momentum scoring two goals in the opening minutes of the second half. Grace Fisher scored on assist from Maggie Grady in the 37th minute and Paige Berliner knocked in a goal just 24 seconds later on an assist from Henry. Campbell rounded out the Tigers' scoring on an assist from Kate Jovanovic in the 55th minute.
The Tigers outshot Wooster 35-5 and held a 16-2 edge on penalty corners. Carrie Mount made 13 saves in a losing effort, while Maggie Steele and Sarah Guendert combined for the shutout.
DePauw is back in action Wednesday, September 24, when they host Earlham starting at 6:30 p.m.
