Seventh-Ranked Tigers Earn 13th Straight NCAA Trip; Gooch is Conference Player of the Year

Crawfordsville, Ind. - Paced by Paige Gooch's two-round 153, seventh-ranked DePauw shot a 638 to win the second North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship Event at the Crawfordsville Country Club.

Combined with last week's scores, the Tigers finished with a four-round 1279 and won their third straight NCAC title by 13 strokes over Wittenberg. DePauw also earned the conference's automatic qualification into the NCAA Division III Championships where they'll make their 13th straight appearance.

Gooch repeated last year's medalist and player of the year honors after shooting a 305 for the four rounds and finishing eight strokes ahead of Denison's Brynn FitzGerald.

Joining Gooch on the all-NCAC First Team was Kelsey Smith who shot a 158 this weekend and finished the overall tournament in fourth with a 319.

Sheinnera Gerongay finished with a 169 at this weekend's event and in eighth over the four rounds with a 327, while Alexandria Ramirez finished with a 158 in the second event and a 328 overall for a ninth-place finish. Both earned spots on the all-NCAC Second Team.

Kenzlie Westerfield rounded out the Tigers' lineup by finishing in a tie for 17th at 345.
