Tigers Finish 10th at Own Invitational; Vincennes Takes Team Title

Greencastle, Ind. - Led by Kyle Mackey's pole vault performance, the Tigers totaled 25 points and finished 10th at the DePauw Invitational at Blackstock Stadium.

Vincennes won with 147.5 points, while Rose-Hulman was second with 108, Bethel (Ind.) third with 100.5 and Wabash fourth with 100.33.

Mackey cleared 15-7 (4.75 meters) to finish second in the pole vault. Paul Watts was third in the 5,000-meter run in 15:29.30, while Stu Newstat was right behind in fourth in 15:38.90.

Quinton Miller turned in a sixth-place showing in the 400 hurdles in 57.50 seconds with Brian Mincks placing seventh in the 800 meters in 1:58.80. 

The Tigers' 4 x 100 relay was ninth in 44.85 seconds.

DePauw hosts the Indiana Division III Meet on Saturday, April 12, at 11 a.m.
