Three Firsts Lift DePauw to Seventh at Rose-Hulman

Terre Haute, Ind. - Led by three individual firsts, DePauw finished seventh among 12 schools at the Rose-Hulman Twilight. The Tigers totaled 58 points and finished just seven points behind Illinois Wesleyan and Franklin. Rose-Hulman won with 159 points.

Marcus Dozier won the discus with a best throw of 153-3 (46.71m) and was fifth in the shot put at 45-8 (13.92m). Amen Galley took the top spot in the long jump with a top mark of 22-6.25 (6.86m) and Kyle Mackey was declared the winner of the pole vault at 15-00 (4.57m).

George Macy was third in the 400-meter hurdles in 57.15 seconds and second in the 110 hurdles in 16.15. Brian Mincks was fifth in the 800 meters (1:55.59) as was Stu Newstat in the 3000 meters (8:51.64) and Paul Watts in the 5000 meters (15:15.21).

The Tigers' 4 x 400 relay was fifth in 3:31.21.

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, April 26, at the Bellarmine Classic.
