Terre Haute, Ind. - Led by a pair of first-place finishes, the Tigers totaled 64 points and finished fourth among five schools at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational. Rose-Hulman won with 309 points and Franklin was second with 112.
Marcus Dozier topped the field in the discus throw at 44.10 meters (144-8) as did Paul Watts in the 5,000-meter run in 15:28.75. Dozier also was fifth in the shot put with a best heave of 12.84 meters (42-1.5).
Quinton Miller was second in the 400 hurdles in 58.56 seconds while Cameron Stewart was third in the event in 59.92.
Brian Mincks turned in a third-place showing in the 1,500 meters in 4:04.63 and was fifth in the 800 meters in 1:58.74, while Amen Galley was fourth in the long jump with a best mark of 6.38 meters (20-11.25). George Macy was fourth in the 110 hurdles in 16.46 and Stewart was fifth in 16.49.
DePauw's 4x100 relay placed third in 44.65, while the 4 x 400 relay was fourth in 3:34.15.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, April 5, when they host the DePauw Invitational at Blackstock Stadium.
