Atlanta, Ga.- DePauw's offense was able to muster just five runs in the doubleheader at Emory University and the Tigers dropped both games by scores of 6-0 and 15-5.

The Tigers dropped to 3-5, while Emory improved to 16-0.

In game one, Emory scored all six of its runs in the second inning led by Tara Fallahee's two-run home run. The Tigers made two errors in the inning leading to three Eagles runs.

Emory pitcher, Amanda Kardys earned the complete game victory after allowing just two hits and striking out five. DePauw's Kahla Nolan took the loss after going the distance, allowing three earned runs.

In the nightcap, Emory jumped out to a quick 7-0 lead in the first inning on five hits including Hannah Sendel's grand slam.

Trailing 8-0, DePauw reached the scoreboard on Jennifer Ridge's RBI single that plated Lauren Krumwiede. However, Emory answered with four runs in the bottom of the inning capped off by Megan Light's two-run home run.

DePauw mounted a rally in top of the fifth with four runs on four hits. Julia Waggoner stole second allowing Krumwiede to score on the throw. Linsey Button and Taylor Golden followed with a pair of RBI singles and a sacrifice fly by Megan Landahl capped the Tigers' scoring for the game.

Light's second home run of the game, this time a three-run shot, ended the game due to run rule in the fifth inning.

Haleigh Chasteen took the loss for DePauw, while Emory's Brittany File picked up the win.

Button, Golden and Krumwiede each had two hits for the Tigers.

DePauw is back in action Thursday, March 13, when it travels to Franklin College for a 3:30 p.m. doubleheader.
