Kauth Wins High Jump; Burke Breaks Own Hurdles Record

Greencastle, Ind. - Led by Celia Kauth winning the high jump and Meghan Burke reestablishing her 60-meter hurdle school record, DePauw totaled 69 points and finished fifth among 17 schools at the DePauw Classic on the James A. Hollensteiner Track. Bellarmine won with 90 points, while St. Joseph's (Ind.) was second with 79.5.

Kauth won the high jump with a best leap of 5-2.25 (1.58 meters), while Burke's record-setting time came in 9.34 seconds and was good for third place.

Nicole Inman turned in a third-place showing in the 600-meter run (1:42.29) as did Jillian Balser in the pole vault (10-00, 3.05 meters). 

The Tigers' 4x200 relay won in 1:50.21 and the 4 x 400 was second in 4:17.25.

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, March 1, at the Fred Wilt Invitational at Anderson University with some student-athletes competing in the North Coast Athletic Conference Pentathlon.
