Tigers Finish Sixth at DePauw Classic

Greencastle, Ind. - Paced by Kyle Mackey's win in the pole vault, DePauw totaled 45 points and finished sixth among 15 schools at the DePauw Classic on the James A. Hollensteiner Track. Wabash won with 156.5 points and Marian (Ind.) was second with 92.

Mackey cleared 15-3.5 (4.66 meters) to top the pole vault field, while Aaron Krabill was third in the event at 14-5.25 (4.40 meters). Marcus Dozier placed second in the shot put with a best mark of 48-11.75 (14.93 meters).

Turning in fifth-place finishes were Paul Watts in the 3,000-meter run (8:56.65), Noah Gatwood in the 5,000 meters (15:45.45), Mitch Metzger in the high jump (6-00, 1.83 meters) and Amen Galley in the long jump (20-8, 6.30 meters).

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, March 1, at the Fred Wilt Invitational at Anderson University with some student-athletes competing in the North Coast Athletic Conference Heptathlon.
