Gambier, Ohio - DePauw totaled 675 points and finished fifth at the Total Performance Invitational. University of Pennsylvania won with 2,709.5, while Kenyon was second with 2,462. Johns Hopkins placed third with 953.5 and Carnegie Mellon placed fourth with 712.5.
DePauw's 200-yard medley relay of Blake Lehmann, Mitchell Davis, Casey Hooker and Alex Alfonso finished third in an NCAA "B" cut time of 1:30.73.
Stephen McMurtry was 15th in the 500 freestyle in 4:36.90 which was also a "B" cut. In the prelims, Casey Hooker and Alex Grissom also notched "B" times in 4:32.92 and 4:34.73, respectively.
Kyle Winters was 25th in the 200 backstroke in 1:57.25 before Blake Lehman finished third in the 100 butterfly in a "B" time of 49.02 after going 48.88 in the prelims. Alfonso also made a "B" cut in the prelims in 49.62.
Davis was 17th in the 200 breaststroke in 2:07.46, while Brandon Sholtis was 24th in the 100 free in 46.91. Hooker and Lehmann earned "B" cuts in prelims in the event in 45.50 and 45.57, respectively.
In one-meter diving competition, Eric Addy totaled 436.60 points which was an NCAA qualifying score. Addy needs to achieve that one more time to earn a spot in the regional.
The Tigers' 400 free relay of Hooker, Alfonso, Grissom and Lehmann finished the meet with a third-place finish in 2:59.77 which was a "B" cut and topped their own school record by .01 seconds set last year.
DePauw returns to the pool on January 3 when it takes on Rhodes.
