Gambier, Ohio - The 13th-ranked Tigers totaled 69 points on the opening night of the Total Performance Invitational and are in sixth among seven schools.
Jordan Bantista finished 16th in the 1,650-yard freestyle in an NCAA "B" qualifying time of 16:07.33, while Scott Heavilon was 26th in 16:48.54 and David Freund was 27th in 16:48.95.
The Tigers' 800 free relay of Casey Hooker, Alex Grissom, Kurt Swieter and Stephen McMurtry was fourth in an NCAA "B" time of 6:40.32. Matthew Gullickson, Kyle Winters, Duncan MacMillan and Bradley Leftwich was 22nd in 7:06.10.
The second day of competition gets underway tomorrow morning.
