Greencastle, Ind.- After winning two-straight North Coast Athletic Conference tournament titles the 19th-ranked DePauw field hockey team will begin their quest for a third title Wednesday, November 5, when they host Denison in the semifinal match of the NCAC tournament starting at 3:00 p.m.

The Tigers earned the second seed in the tournament, finishing the regular season with an overall record of 16-2 and a 12-2 mark in the NCAC. No. 3-seed Denison enters Wednesday's contest with a 12-6 record on the year, going 10-4 in NCAC contests. In the other semifinal match, Kenyon earned the top-seed and will host No. 4-seeded Wittenberg on Wednesday at 2:15 p.m.

DePauw took both regular season matches, winning 2-0 at Denison on September 14, and 4-0 at Reavis Stadium on October 12. The Tigers were led by Paige Henry who scored two goals in those games and by the duo of Sarah Guendert and Maggie Steele who combined to earn a pair of shutout victories in goal.

Since DePauw joined the NCAC in 2011, the Tigers have won six of their eight regular season meetings against the Big Red. However, the teams have split their two NCAC tournament showdowns. Denison took the tournament title in 2011, defeating DePauw 2-0, but the Tigers rebounded the following season and dealt the Big Red a 2-0 loss in the 2012 NCAC championship.

Live stats, video and audio will be available for the semifinal match. Tickets for the contest are $5 for adults and $3 for children (18 and under). Any student from an NCAC institution will receive free admission by presenting a valid school ID at the Reavis Stadium gate.
