Crawfordsville, Ind. - DePauw took firsts in four of five events tonight and are in first among three schools after the first day of the Patrick Woehnker Invitiational. The Tigers totaled 287.5 points to Wabash's 208.5 and Hope's 59.
The Tigers' 200-yard freestyle relay of Casey Hooker, Alex Alfonso, Brandon Sholtis and Blake Lehmann opened the meet with a win in 1:24.43 before Hooker touched first in the 500 free in 4:39.10.
Alfonso won the 200 individual medley in 1:57.52 before Lehmann won the 50 free in 21.15. The Tigers' 400 medley relay of Lehmann, Mitchell Davis, Alfonso and Alex Grissom was second in 3:30.09.
The second and final day of competition starts at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
