Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw opened the home and dual meet portion of its schedule with a 187-106 loss to visiting Washington University at the Erdmann Natatorium.
Angela Newlon led the Tigers with a pair of firsts as she won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:04.08 and the 400 individual medley in 4:38.06. Newlon was also second in the 200 butterfly in 2:10.26.
Other second place finishes included Emily Weber in the 200 free (1:56.49) and 500 free (5:10.88), Annie Graves in the 100 backstroke (1:00.65), Dana Zerbini in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.08) and Kirsten Olson in the 200 back (2:11.15) and Jeanne Cullen in the 400 IM (4:57.92).
The Tigers' 400 free relay of Kirsten Olson, Emily Weber, Caroline Bridges and Erin Horne touched first in 3:42.29.
