Box Score Crawfordsville, Ind. - A pair of first-half goals marked the only scoring in today's North Coast Athletic Conference contest between DePauw and Wabash as the teams battled to a 1-1 tie. The Tigers moved to 9-7-1 overall and 4-3-1 in conference play, while the Little Giants are now 12-2-3 overall and 5-2-1 in the NCAC.
Wabash reached the board first as Riley Pelton scored at 31:25 on Alexiz Arellano's assist, but DePauw's Taras Tataryn scored his first collegiate goal at 39:51 on a pass from Andy Morrison.
The host Little Giants held a 20-16 edge in shots including an 8-6 margin in shots on goal. Wabash also led in corners, 10-3, and committed 15 fouls to the Tigers' 11.
Jake Pezzuto recorded seven saves in goal for DePauw, while Dayton Jennings had five for Wabash.
The Tigers wrap up NCAC play on Saturday when they host Denison at 2:30 p.m. at Reavis Stadium. DePauw needs a win to qualify for next week's four-team NCAC Tournament.
