Three First-Half Goals Lift Tigers to NCAC Win

Wooster, Ohio - DePauw scored three times in the first half including twice in the final five minutes and defeated Wooster by a 3-1 count. The Tigers improved to 13-2 overall and 9-2 in the North Coast Athletic Conference, while the Fighting Scots dropped to 8-8 overall and 5-6 in the conference.

Maggie Campbell's goal on an assist from Paige Henry just 6:38 into the contest gave DePauw the early lead, but the Scots knotted the game on Angela Galimberti's score from Taylor Thorp at 26:06.

DePauw's Grace Goodbarn scored the eventual game-winner with 4:52 left in the first half on Campbell's assist before Natalie Abbott made it 3-1 on an assist from Goodbarn with just eight seconds left in the half.

The Tigers held a 31-1 advantage in shots including 16-1 in shots on goal. DePauw also led in penalty corners, 21-4.

Sarah Guendert picked up the win in goal for DePauw, while Carrie Mount totaled 13 saves for Wooster.

DePauw returns to action on Wednesday, October 23, when it travels to Earlham.
