Box Score Oberlin, Ohio- Elizabeth Seewer scored a pair of goals to lead the DePauw women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Oberlin, Saturday afternoon.
DePauw improved to 4-6-2 overall and 2-1-2 in the North Coast Athletic Conference, while Oberlin dropped to 9-5 on the year and 2-2 in NCAC play.
Neither team could gain early control of the game, as each team only managed one shot in the opening 20 minutes. It was Seewer who put the Tigers in front in the 24th minute on an assist from Stephanie Martin.
Up 1-0 at halftime, DePauw extended its lead when Seewer struck again just nine minutes into the second half, connecting on a pass from Chloe Jacob. Sarah Cho saved the only shot she faced, preserving the Tigers' shutout.
DePauw outshot Oberlin 5-1 and held a 3-2 advantage on corner kicks. Kate Frost made three saves in a losing effort.
The Tigers are back in action Saturday, October 25, when they return home to host Allegheny in an NCAC contest starting at noon.
