St. Louis, Mo. - After a low scoring first-half Washington University (Mo.) exploded with six second-half goals to defeat the DePauw women's soccer team 7-0. The Tigers dropped to 0-3 on the year, while the Bears improved to 3-0.
The Tigers managed to hold the 4th-ranked Bears to just one goal in the first-half behind goalie Emma Cooper's 12 saves.
Becky Berels notched the only first-half goal for the Bears, while second-half goals were scored by Lillie Toaspern, Olivia Lillegraven, Jessica Johnson (2), Liz Collins, and Anna Sippel.
Washingtion U. outshot DePauw 48-2 and maintained an 11-0 advantage in coroner kicks.
The Tigers are back in action on Sunday, September 8, when they take on Webster in St. Louis. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 pm (Central).
