Greencastle, Ind.- The 21st-ranked Tigers extended their undefeated streak with a victory over Principia College Saturday afternoon. With the 3-0 win DePauw improves to 7-0, while the Panthers drop to 2-4-1.
Andy Morrison got things started offensively in the 36th minute when he knocked in an Alieu Musa rebound putting the Tigers in front 1-0. Morrison's goal would prove to be the game winner.
The Tigers added to their lead in the second-half when Zach Hoffman drove home a pass from Adrian Ables in the 56th minute. Morrison scored his second goal just two minutes later on a pass from Nick Williams.
DePauw outshot the Panthers 17-3 including a 12-1 edge on shots on goal. The Tigers also held a 12-0 mark on corner kicks.
The Tigers are back in action Saturday, September 21, when they open up NCAC action against Hiram. Start time is scheduled for 2:30 pm at Boswell Field.
